PCD cup wheels are an aggressive surface prep option available in multiple sizes. A great choice for tough removals, PCD’s are crafted with premium polycrystalline diamonds. They remove coatings over3mm; including glue, epoxy, mastic, urethane, black bitumen paint, and adhesives.
PCD’s grinding cup wheels are more aggressive and durable than standard diamond cup wheels. They leave a rougher finish and serve as a great first step in the prep process. An initial pass will remove much of the coating before transitioning to something less aggressive.
Options in PCD cup wheels vary in segment count and style, with stabilizing buffer segments and choice of 4, 6, or 8 segments per wheel. The stabilizing segments are the Mini Jet, Jet, or FullJet, and provide stability that minimizes the potential for deep gouges from the PCD.
